About Willatook Park
Located near Hawkesdale, on the ancient volcanic plains of southwest Victoria, Australia, Willatook Park has 200 acres of gently-sloping grazing land, ideal for rearing fat lambs and weaner beef calves.
Owners Keith and Karen Harrison purchased the property in 2002, and are steadily developing the breeding program for beef cattle, stock horses, Huntaway farm dogs and Black Suffolk sheep.
Originally 'Woodlands Estate,' a sheep and cattle station developed in the 1860's by early English settlers, the Park has a long history of producing fine livestock.
The farm's climate of short, warm summers, mild autumns and good rainfall throughout winter and spring provides lush cover for much of the year, while a permanent river and creek ensure stock are well-watered in all conditions.
About Us:
Keith Harrison has farmed all his life, both in his native Yorkshire and in New Zealand on family farms, and here in Australia. He has always been a stockman and a horseman.
Karen Harrison has ridden since the age of 15 and has spent many hours training show horses.
Both have found the Australian Stock Horse a versatile competition horse and have had success in the show ring, challenges and campdrafting.
